This is the start of an incredible journey and to help you along we offer useful tips on the dos and don'ts in pregnancy
Pregnancy is divided into 3 stages called trimesters
Each trimester is 13 wks long                                           
Normal pregnancy can last up to 40 weeks
Prenatal visits once a month up to 28th week of pregnancy
Every 2 wks until the 36th week
Once a week until delivery 
You will have several blood tests, urine tests and ultrasound scans as advised by your doctor.
WEIGHT GAIN
Optimum weight gain is between 25 and 30 pounds
1st trimester – 3 to 4 pounds
2nd trimester – 12 to 14 pounds
3rd trimester – 8 to 10 pounds
FOOD!
Eat when you are hungry
 Small frequent meals which includes :Milk products – 3 to 4 servings,     Grain products – 5 to 12 servings,— Fruits and vegetables – 5 to 10 servings,     Meat and alternative – 2 to 3 servings
